Settings, plans and credits
Give the Troubleshooting Agent standing instructions, manage members and the API key, follow your usage, and choose a plan with the credits you need.
This page covers everything under Settings in the Troubleshooting Agent, and how credits work. You need the Admin role.
Give Pluno standing instructions#
Instructions apply to every investigation, wherever it starts. Use them to tell Pluno what to check first and how to write its answers.
- Open Settings, then Agent.
- Write under Instructions. For example: "Check recent deploys and database errors first. In the final answer, lead with the most likely cause and end with the clearest next step."
- Select Save instructions.
Good instructions describe your setup: which service owns what, where each kind of error is logged, and which system is the source of truth for customer data.
Let Pluno learn from past investigations#
Under Self Improvement, Pluno reviews your past investigations and keeps what it learned about your systems, so later investigations start from a better place.
This happens automatically, about once a day while your workspace is active. Select Self improve to start a run now. Self-improvement runs use credits, at half the normal rate.
Manage members#
Open Settings, then Members.
- Select Invite Members.
- Search for a person, or select Add by email.
- Choose a role and select Invite.
Admins can do everything. Support Agents can run investigations. Members are shared with the rest of your Pluno workspace. See Members and roles.
API key#
Open Settings, then API.
- Create key makes a key. Copy it straight away. It is shown only once.
- Rotate key replaces the key immediately. Update your tools right after.
- Revoke key blocks all API requests until you create a new key.
Each workspace has one key. See Start an investigation from your own tools.
Follow your usage#
Open Usage in the sidebar.
- Credits consumed, Sessions and Avg credits / session for the period. The default is the last 30 days.
- Sessions by source shows where investigations started: the web chat, Slack, your help desk, the API, or self-improvement.
- Most credit-consuming sessions lists the heaviest investigations. Select one to open its transcript.
The line at the top shows how many credits you have used in the current billing period and when it resets.
Plans and credits#
Open Settings, then Pricing. This plan covers the Troubleshooting Agent only.
| Plan | Credits |
|---|---|
| Free | 4,080 credits, once |
| Team | 4,000, 8,000, 12,000, 20,000, 40,000 or 80,000 per month |
| Enterprise | Higher limits, invoicing and custom terms, SSO and SAML, and self-hosted connectors |
Free and Team offer the same features and differ only in credits.
How credits are used#
Credits follow the work an investigation takes, so a long investigation across many systems costs more than a quick lookup. As a guide, an investigation uses about 80 credits, so 4,000 credits cover roughly 50 investigations.
- Investigations from the chat, Slack, your help desk and the API all draw from the same balance.
- You get 500 free credits the first time you connect each app.
- Free credits do not renew. Team credits renew every billing period.
Change your plan#
- Choose Team starts a plan. Pick the number of credits under Monthly credits.
- Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated.
- Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period.
- Billing details opens your invoices and payment method.
For Enterprise, select Contact sales.
When credits run out#
Investigations pause until the next billing period or until you upgrade. There are no overage charges.
- In Slack and the help desk sidebar, Pluno tells the person that the Troubleshooting Agent is paused, with a link to the plan page.
- API queries fail with the error code
limit_exceeded. - Admins get an email at 80% and at 100% of the credits.
