Connect Shopify
Give Pluno read-only access to your Shopify customers, orders, fulfillments and returns, so replies and ticket fields reflect each customer's real orders.
With Shopify connected, Pluno knows who is writing in and what they ordered. It can answer "Where is my order?" with the real status, and your agents see the same context in their suggestions.
Pluno only reads from Shopify. It cannot refund, cancel or change anything in your store.
You need the Admin role in Pluno.
Connect a store#
- In the Pluno web app, open Settings, then Shopify.
- Enter your Store domain. Enter only the name, for example
mystore. Pluno adds.myshopify.com. - Select Connect Shopify store.
- Approve the Pluno app in Shopify. Finish within 10 minutes, or start again.
Back in Pluno, the store appears under Connected stores and is active straight away.
What Pluno can read#
Pluno asks Shopify for read-only access to:
- Customers
- Orders
- Fulfillments
- Returns
What Pluno looks up for a ticket#
For each answer, Pluno looks for a Shopify customer with the same email address as the ticket's requester. If it finds one, it reads:
- The customer record.
- The customer's 5 most recent orders.
- The fulfillments and returns for those orders.
The data is read live each time and is not stored in Pluno.
Which modules use it#
| Module | Uses Shopify data |
|---|---|
| Deflection AI | Yes, to answer and to decide whether to escalate |
| AI Copilot | Yes, in suggestions for your agents |
| AI Tagging & Field Filling | Yes, when choosing a form and filling fields |
Connect more than one store#
Repeat the steps for each store. Pluno looks the customer up in every active store.
A store can be connected to one Pluno workspace only.
Pause or disconnect a store#
- Pause. Under Connected stores, switch the store off. Pluno stops using it, and you can switch it back on at any time.
- Disconnect. Contact the Pluno team to have a store disconnected. You can also uninstall the Pluno app in your Shopify admin. Pluno then removes the connection once Shopify notifies it.
Privacy#
If you switched on Hash customer identity values under Data Privacy, Pluno also masks names, emails, phone numbers and addresses in Shopify data before it is used. Your scrubbing rules apply to Shopify data as well.
