Customize the Product Agent
Shape how the Product Agent behaves on each of your domains: set a custom prompt, link your knowledge, train it on your API and review its suggested tasks.
Every domain you added can have its own behavior and its own knowledge. That is useful when you run several products, or a customer app and an admin app.
You need the Admin role. In the Product Agent, open Customize and select a domain under Domains.
Set a custom prompt#
The custom prompt is your standing instruction to Pluno for this domain. Use it for your terminology, your preferences and your limits.
- Write under Custom prompt.
- Select Save changes.
Examples:
- "Use the term 'workspace', never 'account', when talking to users."
- "Prefer the product API over UI clicks."
- "Never remove team members without explicit user confirmation."
- "Do not change billing settings. Tell the user to contact their account owner."
The prompt applies to new chats.
Link your knowledge#
If your Pluno workspace has a help desk connected, the Product Agent can use the same knowledge as the rest of Pluno.
Under Knowledge hub, choose the hub for this domain. Pluno then searches that hub's documentation and questions and answers, and learns from your past tickets. The default is No knowledge hub.
See Use knowledge hubs for multiple brands.
Train Pluno#
Training is how Pluno gets better at your product. It uses credits.
Train with your own material#
Use this to teach Pluno something specific, such as your API or a workflow it gets wrong.
- Under Training, select Train with input.
- Enter Training instructions, for example "Learn the attached OpenAPI specs."
- Paste material into Reference data: an OpenAPI specification, product documentation, or examples of a workflow.
- Select Start focused training.
Pluno combines your material with what it has seen in past user chats.
Let Pluno improve by itself#
Pluno also learns from real use. Once a day, for every domain where users chatted in the last 24 hours, it reviews those chats and updates what it knows about your product.
Select Self-improve to start a run now.
Recent training runs shows the runs of the past three days and their status.
Review the suggested tasks#
Suggested tasks are the starter prompts users see when they open the Product Agent. Pluno writes them from tasks that users on this domain completed successfully, and can vary them by page.
They appear after the first successful training run, and later runs refresh them.
Change how the launcher looks#
The look of the launcher is set in the snippet on your page, not here: its label, accent color, font and position. See Add the snippet to your page.
Remove a domain#
Select Delete domain to stop managing a domain here. Its chat history and what Pluno learned for it are kept.
A domain that is still used by your integration cannot be removed. Take it out of the Domains list on the Integration page first.
