Manage your help desk connection
Reconnect your help desk when an admin leaves or the connection expires, connect another instance, switch workspaces, and remove duplicate Pluno apps.
This page covers the upkeep of the connection between Pluno and your help desk.
Reconnect your help desk#
Pluno works through the account of the admin who connected it. Reconnect when:
- That admin leaves your company or loses admin rights.
- Agents see Reconnection Required in the Pluno sidebar.
To reconnect:
- In the Pluno web app, open Settings, then Reconnect Zendesk.
- Select Reconnect Zendesk on the card for your instance.
- Sign in to your help desk as an active admin and approve the request.
Pluno now uses your account for its requests. Your settings, triggers and webhook stay as they are, and nothing changes about the agent Pluno posts as.
After a reconnect, agents select Refresh in the Pluno sidebar.
Connect another help desk instance#
If your company runs a second instance, for example for another business unit, you can connect it as well.
- Open Settings, then Add another Zendesk instance.
- Enter the subdomain and select Connect.
- Approve the request as an admin of that instance.
Each instance becomes its own Pluno workspace, with its own settings and knowledge. You are its Admin, and you go through setup for it as you did for the first.
To serve several brands inside one instance, you do not need a second workspace. Use knowledge hubs instead.
Switch between workspaces#
When you belong to more than one workspace, a switcher appears under the Pluno logo. Open it, search if you need to, and select a workspace. Pluno remembers your choice in your browser.
Remove duplicate Pluno apps#
Pluno is listed in the Zendesk Marketplace under several names, and each listing installs the same app with every module. If more than one is enabled, your sidebar loads more slowly, and Pluno shows the banner Multiple Pluno Zendesk apps are enabled.
- Select Manage apps on the banner.
- On Zendesk Apps, find the duplicates under Installed Pluno apps.
- Select Disable for each one you do not need, and confirm.
One app always stays enabled. A disabled app is switched off in your help desk, not uninstalled, and you can enable it again here.
Your account#
Open Settings, then Account to see which email address you are signed in with, and to sign out.
To change your email address or remove your account, contact the Pluno team.
